The pages are burned and forgotten,
Though they were never meant to be so rotten.
The wind carelessly spreads them into the night,
And they float quietly without a fight.
No one will ever know the truth for sure;
There will be no such thing as a cure.
Memories fade so quickly into the darkness,
Hidden from the world in a dark abyss.
Words lose their true and only meaning,
Though still hoping to be helpful and learning.
With time one forgets everything about it,
Extinguishing the fire that was once lit.
Dreams and hopes are thrown into a grind,
Till they become nothing more but dust in the wind.
They flow endless

Righteousness is no longer a common word,
Forgotten quietly and thrown into the dirt.
There are so many wars going on and on,
The truth only strikes like hit and run.
Hidden from the senses of the world,
It will never help us understand our world.
Faith is no longer a common goal,
Even though it is imbued deep within the soul.
Have we forgotten who we are?
I’d say we’ve strayed from the path too far.
Our count continues to grow in millions,
And yet there is still so much violence.
Dreams are no longer what they used to be;
The real world is a nightmare from which we cannot flee.
Effortless we struggle

Both senseless and meaningfull,
So how can one have faith,
When everything seems to be a wraith?
Save somebody and be a hero,
But that's just like a plain mirror;
You have to see the other side,
To understand why the other died.
A tear runs across the cheek,
But tell me: is it not that we seek?
Life's full of love and pain,
Just enough to keep us sane.
Life's both heaven and hell,
Everything mixed in a giant shell,
So how can we be justified?
I just wish we had a guide.
